Good afternoon everyone! We are continuing to plan for the upcoming winter season. We will be opening registration on September 18th for both travel and recreational basketball!!  The registration link is here for travel tryouts:

TRAVEL TRYOUT REGISTRATION

As a reminder – Travel is ONLY for grades 4 through 8 and you MUST reside in Mount Laurel.  THE LEAGUES WE PARTICIPATE IN REQUIRE PROOF OF RESIDENCY.  Mount Laurel participates in the ICBL for the girls’ leagues and the SJBBL for the boys’ league. Both leagues have strict residency policies, so you are only eligible to play for a Mount Laurel team if you live in Mount Laurel. The leagues are for boys and girls in 4th through 8th grade. We typically will field 2 teams per grade for each league. Tryouts will likely commence the week of October 3rd and finish by October 21st. Teams will be formed shortly thereafter. To participate on a travel team, there are additional costs that will be collected once you accept your position on a team. These will be communicated separately during tryouts, but will likely be under $100. If you are not selected for a travel team, your registration will automatically roll over to the intramural league for your grade level.

RECREATIONAL/INSTRUCTIONAL REGISTRATION

Registration for intramural (grades 3 through high school) and travel are $140. Registration for instructional (Grades K through 2) will be $85. We will take in-person registrations at the Mount Laurel Food Truck Festival on September 18th. We will have a table at the festival and will take in-person registration at that time if you need to pay via cash or check. In addition, we will have some fun activities at the table so please come stop by if you are at the festival!

In addition, we have opened coach registration. We are hopeful that you would consider volunteering. For the instructional leagues this season, we are planning to have Fundamental Hoops Training running the weekend sessions in December. If you would consider volunteering, they will be mapping out all the practice sessions for Grades K-2 for the first month and you will be able to learn how to administer a practice! This is a great opportunity to get involved at the younger levels!!! For all other grades, we are sincerely asking for more volunteers! The need for volunteers in our program cannot be overstated! It is very easy to qualify, we will simply ask you to submit to a routine background check and provide a clinic to help get you started.

In addition, the Lenape coaches are hosting a clinic series at Hartford School on Tuesdays throughout the month of October. Registration is open for the Fall Co-ed Basketball Clinics at Hartford School hosted by Lenape High School boys and girls Varsity coaches. This is a great opportunity for players to hone their skills and prepare for the upcoming basketball season on Tuesday evenings in October.Please see the dates and link below for all registration information. Finally – Fundamental Hoops will be hosting fall clinics.  FUNDAMENTAL HOOPS is excited to announce they will be now running Coed Little Ballers Clinics this Fall for ages 5, 6 and 7. We will be running two Sessions each lasting four weeks.  They will be held on Wednesday afternoons from 5:00PM – 5:45PM at the Marlton Blue Barn Recreation Center located at 1004 Tuckerton Rd, Marlton, NJ 08053.

Session 2 – 10/26; 11/2; 11/9 and 11/16

Our Fall Training kicks off in a little over one week! There are just a few spots remaining for these clinics which will be held at the Marlton Fieldhouse for 9 weeks from September 19th through Friday November 18th. These large group sessions will be focused on teaching fundamentals through drill work as well as small sided games and live play.
