Winter registration is now closed - check back in May for Summer registration
Welcome to Mt. Laurel Basketball on-line registration for the 2019-2020 Winter League season. Registration for our winter programs will open September 20th and run through October 31st.
We run leagues for children in grades Kindergarten through 12th grades. Instructional programs for Kindergarten to 2nd grade will focus primarily on skill development. Intramural leagues are offered for players in grades 3 to 12 with a focus on continued skill development and team play. All games will have adult referees.
Travel teams are offered for players in grade 4 through 8 who are selected following the travel team tryouts. All travel tryout players in 4th through 8th grades must be registered by October 2nd. Each age group will have 2 tryout nights and players must attend at least one tryout to be considered for a travel team. All players who are selected for a travel team will need to fund additional costs of $150-$250 to cover uniform costs, referee fees and additional tournament costs.
We also offer a Challenger program that is open to players with special needs who wish to play basketball. Our Challenger program is open to players from any town.
NOTE TO HAINESPORT RESIDENTS:
Due to a change in the weekend gym usage policy in Hainesport, it has become necessary for the school board to charge us a fee to use the Hainesport gym on the weekends. We need to use the gym in Hainesport in order to accept Hainesport children in our program. In order to fund this new charge, we need to charge a $15.00 facilities fee to all Hainesport players. Hainesport residents please be sure to select the correct payment box when you register or we will have to void your registration and issue a refund to allow you to register correctly a 2nd time.
TRAVEL TEAM NOTES: Travel tryouts will be held the first two or three weeks in October. Tryout dates will be posted on this website. Due to a change in the basketball leagues where our boys and girls travel teams play, Hainesport boys and girls are not allowed to play on our travel teams. The travel basketball leagues require that players must live in your high school sending district to be considered as an eligible player for your township travel team.
SPECIAL REQUESTS NOTE:
For our kindergarten through 2nd grade instructional leagues we try to honor as many special requests as possible in terms of a player wanting to be on the same team with a specific friend or play for a specific coach. However, it is not always possible for us to honor all requests. For 3rd grade and up we form intramural teams based on a player draft and we do not take specific friend or coach requests. One exception to this is that we will try to put siblings in the same grade on the same team if the parent requests it and as long as it is feasible and does not create any problems.
Due to the huge administrative burden check acceptance via mail requires, we only accept payment via either credit or debit card. You will NOT be able to register on our website without completing the payment process.
We will hold an in-person registration night in late October for anyone who must pay by check. We will send notices out as soon as we secure the site for that registration night.
If you have any questions regarding registration or the league in general, please first visit the Quick Links section on our home page and select the "Registration Information" document. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
