You will be assigned a tryout slot and location.  If for some reason you cannot make the date/time, please feel free to contact Chris Beeler (chris.beeler@mtlaurelbasketball.org) and the Travel Coordinator – Khary Freeland for the girls (khary.freeland@mtlaurelbasketball.org) and Scott Liebling for the boys (scott.liebling@mtlaurelbasketball.org).

Your child should plan to bring a water bottle with them.  We will have a few basketballs that will be used during tryouts, but, if your child arrives early and wants to shoot around before the start, they will need a ball.  While in the building, you are expected to be masked at all times.  You will drop your child off at the gym and exit the building.  Once the prescribed end time of the tryout is reached, you will enter the building and pick up your child at the gym (for our younger children) or they may go to the parking lot to find you.  There will be no spectators allowed in the gym during the tryouts.  There are no exceptions to this rule.

Typically, the travel teams begin practicing as soon as they are formed (in this case, practice will likely commence during the first week of November) and play into March.  There are generally 2 to 3 practices and games a week for the travel teams.  It is important to understand that in addition to the registration fee, travel teams typically pay around $150 to $250 more per player for uniforms and additional tournaments beyond the travel league games.

PLEASE DO NOT HAVE YOUR CHILD ATTEND ANY SESSIONS IF THEY ARE NOT FEELING WELL OR IF THEY HAVE OR HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH ANYONE WHO HAS HAD COVID.  IF THEY HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AS A CLOSE CONTACT AT SCHOOL, PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM TO A TRYOUT.
