We are happy to announce that we will begin registration for the winter 2020-2021 TRAVEL BASKETBALL TRYOUTS.  While we are announcing these tryouts, it is important to note that we still have not received clearance to use the gym spaces in Mount Laurel.  However, we are forming teams so that if/when we do get clearance, the teams are ready to go.  All tryouts will be held outdoors and are therefore weather dependent.  Based on feedback from the leagues that we participate in, we have pared down the travel program to remove the 4th grade travel option for this season.  There will be various options for playing this coming season (league versus tournament, travel distance, etc.) and we ask that each of you bear with us in these trying times.

PLEASE NOTE THIS REGISTRATION IS ONLY FOR TRAVEL TEAM TRYOUTS FOR 5TH THROUGH 8TH GRADES.  REGISTRATION FOR OUR INSTRUCTIONAL, INTRAMURAL AND CHALLENGER PROGRAMS IS NOT OPEN YET.  WE WILL POST/SEND A SEPARATE SESSION WHEN WE HAVE FINAL CLEARANCE AND GUIDANCE FROM THE SCHOOLS.

Travel Teams

Travel teams are selected for grades 5 through 8 where players will compete against teams from other towns in South Jersey. Travel tryouts will be conducted from during the 1st 3 weeks of October. The tryout schedule will be posted on TeamSnap.  DUE TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE WAIVER ATTACHED TO THIS EMAIL AND SUBMIT ELECTRONICALLY BEFORE YOU WILL BE ADDED TO THE TEAMSNAP.  Players must be registered to participate in travel team tryouts.  If your child is not registered and attends a travel tryout, he or she will not be permitted to play that night so please register by October 4th to avoid missing any tryout dates. 

All participants are required to complete the TeamSnap health check prior to attending any event!

Currently, we have a high degree of confidence that South Jersey Boys Basketball League will have league play.  We are in contact with Inter-County Basketball League (the girls league) to understand if we have league options within their organization.

Unfortunately, these leagues do not allow Hainesport players on our teams, as all travel leagues residency lines follow high school sending district.  Hainesport players must play for a Rancocas Valley-based team and are most likely able to play with a team based in Lumberton.
